Decline of Aussie brew

Get us another stubby, mate’ used to mean go get another Tooheys, Carlton or VB.

However, recently Australians have dumped their traditional stubbies, throw-downs and long-necks.

Traditional beer brands such as Tooheys, VB and Pure Blonde are experiencing one of the biggest volume declines in recent history.

Australian beer drinkers are shifting their tastes towards premium beer, including the more alternative craft beers from microbreweries around the country.
