Upgrades needed for rural pool to stay open

When something is old and broken, you fix it.
This isn’t the case for the community swimming pool in Bourke in country NSW.

The pool complex was built in the late 50’s and hasn’t been repaired since.
Cracked tiles, uneven concrete and showering facilities without roofs are just a few problems with the facility.
There have been cases of local kids hurting themselves on the broken tiles and there is no access for the disabled.
Residents are worried if something isn’t done, one of their most important facilities will be lost, putting the most remote town in Northern NSW further behind.
